Do I have to buy a suit or equipment ?

Although new students can train for a short while in casual sportswear, students will be expected to obtain a traditional white karate Gi. Protective equipment is required for sparring, gradings and competition. Again, students would be expected to purchase their own equipment in due course, although spare equipment can be used initially.

Where can I buy the clothing and equipment ?

Due to the fact that retailers of quality martial arts equipment can be rather difficult to find, the Club has scoured the market and is now in a position to offer students high quality uniforms and protective equipment at near trade prices. Price lists can be obtained from any of our Coaches. The Club has an official supplier in Torra Scotia Sports who are based in Bathgate, check out their details on the Links page.
